There are many a software out there of hiding and password protecting one's files and folders but the problem with them is that they are quite complicated and hard to manage. So here I am going to tell a few easy and simple tricks to "hide" your folder. 1. Trick #1- Hiding a Folder on the Desktop To perform this trick, stick to the process described below. Let us suppose that the folder you want to hide is "thebotfolder". Right-click on the folder and select "Properties". Now rename the folder as " ` " [without quotation marks]. Now select the "Customise" tab and click "Change Icon..." Now scroll until you see 4 "blank" icons. Select any of the blank icons and click "OK" or "Apply".
